Our Work

We are a skilled design-build firm, however we are also horrible photographers. Please note that these photos represent only a small fraction of the work that we have done, and I have tried to include items that are unique from each other in different ways- not necessarily a compilation of our best work.

We unfortunately forget to take photos most of the time while working and are sometimes asked not to share public photos of our work once installed. Please feel free to reach out with any requests to see past examples of work similar to the project you are inquiring about.

Entertainment Unit

This installation in a new townhome in Downtown Raleigh, is a great example of our custom design-build process.

This unit features modern louvered doors for both electronics, but also due to an air return on the right side. It also features, like most all of my units, full painted backs in all locations to match the color and sheen of the lacquer finish.

Finished custom units like this are typically installed in a single day and are ready for immediate use after installation.

Stairs and Shelving

This was a fun project in Durham, NC that was accomplished as a builder-grade install of shelving and stair components that were later finished on-site by others.

While we normally work as the Contractor, we also enjoy working with larger builders as a sub-contractor.

Salon Build-out

We provided Intentions Salon in Cary, NC with a full build-out of their new space, and assisted the owner in many aspects of the build outside of the cabinetry.

Six Formica laminate salon stations were made, as well as the ColorCode Formica front desk with wrap-around oak shelf, and two stained pine partitions. 2D and 3D models were used extensively to finalize the design.

Although we specialize in residential installs, we have done many commercial custom installs as well. We bring the same attention to detail used in residential homes to our commercial projects resulting in something truly special when finished.

Dry Bar Addition

We shortened the width of the existing cased-opening in Holly Springs, NC to fit upper and lower cabinetry. Most aspects of this build were done in-house, with only the electrical and countertop supplied by other contractors (but arranged through us).

We have a few other projects we've accomplished where openings were either altered or moved to fit cabinetry. Please note that doing this will require permitting which may extend the timeline.

Drop-Zone/Mud Room

This was one of three built-in units for a home in Raleigh, NC.

This unit features a custom made bead-board backing, and was finished in lacquer off-site. This unit was designed from photos sent in from the client, and built to fit the space beautifully.

Finished custom units like this are typically installed in a single day and are ready for immediate use after installation.

Semi-Custom Kitchen

20220502_162613.jpg

This was a beautiful Kitchen Remodel in Cary, NC. The fridge was moved from near the stove to its current spot by taking a small amount of space from the adjoining pantry and bathroom.

This kitchen utilizes a mix of custom and pre-fab cabinetry in order to keep costs down, while giving our client their dream kitchen. Items such as custom end-panels, back panels, and a hood were created to match the new shaker white cabinetry. The lower units feature the same maple interiors but have Rift Sawn White Oak exteriors. Paint, electrical, and countertops were handled by others, but all other facets of this remodel including the design was done in-house.

We are also able to supply dimensioned countertop drawings to the customer to aid in the estimating process.

Alter Existing Cabinetry

Although this is a very small job, this kitchen in Apex, NC benefitted greatly from a few small alterations.

The before picture (bottom) included space for a microwave and large drawer that were no longer used. We were able to match the color and style of the doors, and created a seamless addition of two drawers, a trash pullout, and an adjustable shelving space.

We often do small alterations where we match existing components like in the example above, or if a new fridge needs a matching cabinet door, or an existing door is damage, etc.

Stairway Update

We modernized this stairway in Holly Springs, NC by replacing the treads and rail components.

The treads, newel, and railings, are custom made from Red Oak and were pre-finished before installation- allowing the stairway to be used immediately after installation. Square aluminum balusters were also installed without trim-cups for a modern look.

The original risers and skirt boards were kept but were sanded and painted by us.

Archway Alterations

This home in Apex, NC had four arched openings altered to have a large header over column trim package. The homeowner made the final molding selections after drawings and samples were provided.

All materials were installed "paint-ready" which meant they were pre-primed, caulked, and filled. The homeowner had the millwork painted along with the rest of the first floor by another company.
